On the morning of September 28, a delegation from the School of Marxism at Huzhou University, including Dean Ai Zhiqiang, Vice Dean Li Xiujuan, Deputy Party Secretary Qin Shan, and Vice Dean He Yan, visited our school for an exchange symposium. The symposium was attended by Dean Wang Kun, Vice Dean Wu Wen, Yu Fenfei from the Office of Graduate Studies and Discipline Development, and Jiang Wenjing from the Comprehensive Office of the Research Base of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era at Zhejiang Normal University in Zhejiang Province.
During the symposium, Dean Wang Kun extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation and gave a detailed introduction to the overall situation of the School, as well as the development of the Zhejiang Normal University Base of the provincial research center for Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. Dean Ai Zhiqiang highly commended the achievements of Zhejiang Normal University in the construction of Marxist theory as a discipline, expressing hopes for further cooperation and exchange between the two institutions. Vice Dean Wu Wen introduced thefeatures of the Ideological and Political Education program and the development of ideological and political theory courses.
In the discussion session, both sides held in-depth exchanges on topics including the construction of Marxist theory as a discipline, faculty development, establishment of master’s and doctoral degree programs, academic research, and theoretical publicity.
This symposium laid a new foundation for further cooperation between the two schools. Both sides expressed willingness to take this opportunity to strengthen coordination, promote resource sharing and complementary advantages, and work together to advance the high-quality and distinctive development of Schools of Marxism.
