On the afternoon of May 22nd, a delegation from the College of Marxism at Jiaxing University, including Dean Lv Yanqin, Party Branch Secretary Song Zhixia, Vice Dean Zhang Xiaoxiao, and Administrative Office Director Zhang Xiaozhong, visited our school for an exchange symposium. Attending the symposium from our school were Party Secretary Xu Ying, Vice Dean Lin Zisai, Vice Dean Wu Wen, and Head of the Political Education Department Zhang Xiaochen.
At the symposium, Party Secretary Xu Ying warmly welcomed the delegation on behalf of our school and introduced its fundamental operational status and phased achievements in talent cultivation. Dean Lv Yanqin highly commended our school's outstanding accomplishments in the construction of Marxist theory disciplines and hoped that the two sides could further deepen exchanges and cooperation.
Vice Dean Lin Zisai presented the school's discipline development, emphasizing the importance of relevant research platform construction. He highlighted utilizingthe the Research Base of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era effectively and coordinating university-wide faculty resources to advance disciplinary development. Vice Dean Wu Wen introduced the distinctive features and educational resources.of the Ideological and Political Education program. Director Zhang Xiaochen introduced the long history of this major and shared experiences in talent cultivation.
During the exchange and discussion session, both sides engaged in in-depth dialogue centered on the construction of Marxist schools in the new era. Participants discussed specific topics including faculty team building, project application, talent cultivation, and employment guidance, facilitating mutual learning and experience sharing.
This symposium marks a new starting point for deepened cooperation between the two schools. Taking this symposium as an opportunity, the two sides will further strengthen resource sharing and complementary advantages, form more feasible practices and experiences in the connotative development and characteristic construction of the School of Marxism, and inject new development momentum into the research on adapting Marxism to the Chinese context and the needs of our times.
